Locs

LOCS (DREADS)

Dreadlocks are formed by twisting, rolling or backcombing the hair. People with this style will benefit from clarifying shampoos, treatments and styling products that don't leave residue in the hair

MAINTAINING YOUR LOCS

There are different stages in the loc journey. Starter locs are the first phase and require careful handing and avoidance of water and steam while they are still forming into locs. It is at this stage that you can  determine the size of the locs  and the type of locing method to be used based on your hair type, density and your long term styling goals.

Throughout your loc journey you need to ensure that the hair is well conditioned with products that will infuse moisture into the hair shaft without weighing down the hair

As you twist (new locs and existing locs) we recommend using a light weight loc styling  product versus using a heavy products that will easily build up in the hair. Keeping your locs free from heavy oils will maintain healthy and manageable locs for as long as you retain this styling option.
